On the Motion of F Hoque and Councillor D Hayes That Traffic Committee recommend: a further observations of traffic control light signal phasing at intersections that cross Edward Street with a view to providing a more equitable level of service for traffic that is travelling on the north-south cross streets b development of a design for a roundabout treatment at the intersection of Gregadoo Road and Plumpton Road c continued monitoring of intersections that have returned a level of service in the C category with a report to be made to Traffic Committee if required |

On the Motion of P Peter and F Hoque That Traffic Committee note that the following matter was distributed to members by way of email on 5 March 2018 with members responding in favour of the event. That Traffic Committee endorse the conduct of the Good Talk Run for 32 event on various roads and shared paths within Wagga Wagga, between 07:00am and 3:30pm on Saturday 17 March 2018, subject to the following conditions: a a Traffic Management Plan that addresses interactions between event participants and the non-event community is prepared and implemented to manage the use of the road reserves and shared paths for this event b organisers and event participants will obey all reasonable directions given by Police c organisers and event participants will obey all reasonable directions given by Wagga Wagga City Council Staff d organisers, marshals and participants are to minimise the effect of the event on the non-event community as far as possible, throughout the event e All participants are to obey any reasonable direction/s that is given by event organisers and event marshals throughout the course of the event f the event organisers should actively discourage participants who are riding in the event from racing with others and from riding recklessly or in a manner that causes danger to themselves or to others by briefing the participants before the start of the event and by what other means are appropriate g all marshals are to be thoroughly briefed, as to the requirements of their position that they are assigned to h marshals should not occupy a position that is on the trafficable portion of the road i marshals must wear reflective vests while they are engaged in this event j a copy of a public liability insurance policy certificate of currency that notes The City of Wagga Wagga and the NSW Roads and Maritime Services as interested parties, to the minimum value of $20 million, to be produced to Council not later than 15 March 2018 k failure to comply with any and all of the above conditions will immediately void this approval |

On the Motion of Councillor D Hayes and F Hoque That Traffic Committee recommends that marked parking bays are not required to be implemented in Mortimer Place. |

On the Motion of D Qvist and F Hoque That Traffic Committee recommends the following road marking be installed on the eastern end of Copland Street between intersections with Tasman Road and Blaxland Road: a an S1 broken separation line to be located in the centre of the sealed carriageway b an E1 edge line on both sides of the street, to be located in a position that defines a three metre wide travelling lane on either side of the S1 broken separation line that is mentioned at point ‘a’ c the E1 edge line is to be returned to the kerb at intersections with Say Street, Hartog Place, Lawson Street and Blaxland Road |

On the Motion of Councillor D Hayes and D Qvist That Traffic Committee recommends the installation of a 42 metre length of NO PARKING zone, using standard R5-40 series signs, on the northern side of Copland Street at the front of number 297, as indicated in the diagram that is attached to the report. |
QUESTIONS WITH NOTICE
QWN-1: Councillor D Hayes requested that further investigation into the Leavenworth Drive and Bourke Street intersection be undertaken.
QWN-2: Mr F Hoque from RMS raised the issue that the no stopping zone length in Murray Street and Edward Street could be extended five metres.
The Traffic Committee rose at 11.08am
