Confirmation of Minutes

CM-1         SISTER CITY COMMUNITY COMMITTEE - MINUTES - 6 APRIL 2018

That the Minutes of the proceedings of the Sister City Community Committee Meeting held on 6 April 2018 be confirmed as a true and accurate record.

At this stage of the meeting the Committee moved RP-3 SISTER CITY PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS to be considered first.

 

The Committee discussed merchandise that is able to be purchased for the promotion of Council’s Sister Cities, such as stubby holders, sister city badges, tea towels, bigger Wagga Wagga flags. It was discussed that the preferred option of merchandise should be of individual countries and not to combine all countries onto products.

 

A discussion was held regarding the badges that had previously been made that include all four countries that are Sister Cities for Wagga Wagga City Council.

 

Sarah Myers, Visitor Services Operations Officer will prepare suggestions and pricing for suitable merchandise ideas and report back to the next Sister City Community Committee scheduled for the 20 September 2018.

PROMOTION OF 2019 STADTMAUERFEST, NORDLINGEN

 

Recommendation:

On the motion of Mayor, Councillor G Conkey OAM and R McPherson

 

That the Committee recommend increasing the promotion of the Stadtmauerfest in Nordlingen in 2019 in the Council News.
