The meeting of the Sister City Community Committee commenced at 4:30pm.

Confirmation of Minutes

CM-1         SISTER CITY COMMUNITY COMMITTEE MINUTES - 28 MARCH 2019

 

Recommendation

            On the Motion of Mrs J Tout and Councillor G Conkey OAM

 

That the Minutes of the proceedings of the Sister City Community Committee Meeting held on 28 March 2019 be confirmed as a true and accurate record.

CARRIED

Ms R McPherson advised the Committee that she is no longer attending the Stadtmauerfest 2019 in Nördlingen.

At this stage of the meeting the Mayor, Councillor G Conkey OAM assumed the position of Chairperson, while the election of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson was undertaken.

RP-1          ELECTION OF COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON AND DEPUTY CHAIRPERSON

 

Recommendation:

                        On the Motion of Ms R McPherson and Councillors G Conkey OAM

That the Committee:

a          elect a Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson

b          accept a term of one or two years for the elected Committee positions           of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson

 

CARRIED

The Mayor, Councillor G Conkey OAM called for nominations of Chairperson from Committee Members.

Ms R McPherson nominated Mrs J Tout and was seconded by Mrs L Vennell for the position of Chairperson.

No further nominations were received for Chairperson.

The Mayor, Councillor G  Conkey OAM congratulated Mrs J Tout on her election as Chairperson.

The Mayor, Councillor G Conkey OAM called for nominations of Deputy Chairperson from Committee Members.

Mrs L Vennell nominated Ms R McPherson and was seconded Mrs J Tout for the position of Deputy Chairperson.

No further nominations were received for Deputy Chairperson.

The Mayor, Councillor G  Conkey OAM congratulated Ms R McPherson on her election as Deputy Chairperson.

Mrs J Tout assumed the position as Chairperson.

 

 

RP-2          SISTER CITY ACTIVITIES FOR 2020

 

Recommendation:

                        On the Motion of Mrs J Tout and Councillors G Conkey OAM

For open discussion with the Committee

CARRIED

  

Committee Members were requested to email their event suggestions to Ms L Cox, on what they would like included in an event in 2020.

 

The Committee requested for a report to be prepared on the extension of the Sister City Community Committee to the end of October 2020, to allow for the organisation of this event.

 

 

 

The Sister City Community Committee rose at 5:05pm.
