Confirmation of Minutes

CM-1         CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES - MEETING HELD 10 SEPTEMBER 2020

 

Recommendation

That the Minutes of the proceedings of the Traffic Committee Meeting held on 10 September 2020 be confirmed as a true and accurate record, noting that the recommendations contained in the minutes of that meeting were endorsed by Council at its Ordinary Meeting on 9 November 2020.

At the meeting on 20 September 2020, Councillor Hayes raised a question regarding a review of Bourke Street, between Fernleigh and Red Hill roads. Advice from P Ross is that Council intends to engage a consultant to complete a road safety review of this section of Bourke Street.

RP-1          ANNUAL BUTCH MENZ MEMORIAL CYCLING CLASSIC, THE ROCK-COLLUNGIE ROAD, COLINGULLIE

 

Recommendation:

                        On the Motion of Councillor D Hayes and K Boulton

That Council or its authorised delegate approve the conduct of the Butch Menz Memorial Bicycle Race, starting and finishing at Collingullie on Sunday 6 December 2020.

RP-2          DA20/0476 - APPROVAL FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF 'NO STOPPING’ RESTRICTION AROUND CORNER OF EDWARD STREET & CULLEN ROAD, WAGGA WAGGA

 

Recommendation:

                        On the Motion of Councillor D Hayes and K Boulton

That Council note the Traffic Committee’s approval for the imposition of an 80m length of NO STOPPING zone around the intersection of Cullen Road and Edward Street as a condition of consent for DA20/0476.

RP-3          EXTENSION OF TIMED PARKING ZONES ADJACENT TO 10 BEST STREET CAFE, WAGGA WAGGA.

 

Recommendation:

                        On the Motion of Councillor D Hayes and K Boulton

That Council extend the timed parking zones adjacent to the 10 Best Street café to four ½ HOUR parking bays and three 2 HOUR parking bays for the periods 8:30am - 6pm, Monday to Friday and 8:30am – 12:30pm on Saturdays.

RP-4          APPROVAL FOR REVISED PARKING RESTRICTIONS ADJACENT TO 1 SIMMONS STREET, WAGGA WAGGA.

 

Recommendation:

                        On the Motion of Councillor D Hayes and KBoulton

That Council note the Traffic Committee’s approval to remove the existing 36m long on-street loading zone adjacent to 1 Simmons Street and install:

12 metres of NO PARKING zone 2.30pm to 7.30pm Mon-Fri outside the entrance to the building on 1 Simmons Street

two 12 metre lengths of unrestricted PARKING zone on either side of the proposed NO PARKING zone

RP-5          INSTALLATION OF TIME RESTRICTED PARKING - FORSYTH STREET BETWEEN BARDO LANE AND BLAKE STREET, WAGGA WAGGA

 

Recommendation:

                        On the Motion of K Boulton and Councillor D Hayes

That Council install 1 HOUR time restricted parking on the 6 parking bays on the southern side of Forsyth Street between Bardo Lane and Blake Street for the periods 8:30am - 6pm, Monday to Friday and 8:30am – 12:30pm on Saturdays.
