Discussion
VK Asked if the draft scope of works (SoW) addresses the concerns of (NW) residents
Proposed sending comments and feedback via email by end of week
FZ Expressed a preference to discuss and finalise feedback today at the meeting, rather than via email
VK Sought Committee agreement to discuss and contribute feedback in session, and for staff to collate and circulate back to Committee
CA Advised the draft SoW is in line with standard Council procurement standards
PG Advised that paragraph 4 (2 bullet points) is really the nucleus of the review
SM Was expecting an addendum to be developed to the FRMSP, not an appendix
PT At a high level it is about reviewing how information was considered and determining if there is a reason to reconsider that a different conclusion should have been reached in the study. It shouldn’t matter whether and appendix or addendum.
Discussion
FZ Noted that the NWRA will need a response to enable a submission to the review
PT Advised that Council staff can prepare a response and provide information but not comment (given review is pending)
RK Suggested amending draft letter and adding ‘please find enclosed’ with available information provided to the Association
QUESTIONS WITH NOTICE
Councillor Keenan asked whether there has been an opportunity for the SES to meet with community members and discuss flood preparation. Barry Griffiths (SES) advised that COVID-19 restrictions has prevented this from happening, but once restrictions ease, it will happen.
The Floodplain Risk Management Advisory Committee rose at 10.31am.
